Care for an existing website

What website maintenance
actually covers.

Website care is the recurring work that helps keep an existing site usable. It can include checking availability and the contact path, updating approved details and recording problems that need attention. The technology, account access and supported tools are confirmed before enrollment.

Routine checks

Availability and certificate monitoring, monthly contact-path and covered-tool checks, plus a dated record of findings. Automated monitoring does not mean round-the-clock human support.

Useful updates

One related batch of supplied words, images or link changes each month in existing parts of the site. It is a defined batch, not unlimited edits or an hourly repair allowance. Substantive changes use an agreed improvement priority or a separate scope.

WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow and other existing platforms have different access, update and export limits. Naming your platform helps us assess fit; it does not establish that every plugin, theme or integration is supported. Security incidents, malware removal and complex migrations need a separately assessed scope or an appropriate specialist.

Compare website maintenance and monthly SEO if you are choosing between keeping the site working and improving its search content.

Choose the task first

Keep it working.
Improve what it explains.

Correct supplied details and check covered tools with website care. Clarify a service page or answer a useful search question with research and an agreed content change. If the problem is unclear or finite, start with an audit and bounded fixes.

Keep your existing site useful

Keep Running

$150 / month · USD

Covered checks and one related group of supplied text, image or link updates each month—for example, new hours and the contact link.

Larger improvements, such as rewriting a service page, are separately scoped.

One practical recommendation in the monthly receipt, based on the site and available evidence; no standing strategy call.

First payment after approval: $549 for an existing site ($399 setup + $150 first cycle); $150 if a usable studio build or Sprint covers setup. Annual prepayment is optional.

Improve

$400 / month · USD

Care and supplied updates, plus one agreed improvement—for example, revising a service page.

One feedback round and quality checks for that priority.

A deeper monthly growth review with prioritized advice and one 20-minute conversation OR equivalent asynchronous review. The concise action list is part of the receipt, not a second full report.

First payment after approval: $799 for an existing site ($399 setup + $400 first cycle); $400 if a usable studio build or Sprint covers setup. Annual prepayment is optional.

Grow

$800 / month · USD

Care and supplied updates, plus two agreed improvements, completed one after the other.

One feedback round and quality checks for each priority.

One 30-minute strategy conversation OR equivalent asynchronous review, with focused research, a concise written action plan and two sequential priorities. The conversation and asynchronous review are alternatives.

First payment after approval: $1,199 for an existing site ($399 setup + $800 first cycle); $800 if a usable studio build or Sprint covers setup. Annual prepayment is optional.

Full scope and payment terms

Provider bills, tax and approved additions are separate. Fit, supported tools and dates are confirmed before payment. Existing-site setup is $399 once unless a usable studio build or Sprint already covers it.

Compare annual payment options

Pay for twelve service cycles in advance and save 5%. The monthly equivalent is for comparison; the full annual amount is paid upfront. Annual renewal needs written confirmation.

Read annual cancellation, unused-cycle refunds and renewal terms.

Existing-site setup: $399 once. Access/inventory, the full baseline, backlog and a first contained safe fix where appropriate, outside the first month’s allowance. Included after a new paid studio build or usable $750 Audit & Fix Sprint; never charged twice for the same usable baseline.

Your review, first safe fix and handoff

  • Checks of your site, access, useful work, provider costs and dates before you pay.
  • A list of the supported site’s systems, permissions and accounts, including anything that limits the review.
  • A review of all 22 website areas, with findings and clear labels for checked, unchecked or unavailable information.
  • A list of useful fixes and open issues, put in an order that helps you choose what comes next.
  • One small, safe fix when appropriate. It does not use the first month’s care allowance.
  • If no safe, useful fix fits, you receive a clear finding and reason. This outcome is agreed before payment.
  • One combined round of feedback adjustments and checks against the agreed completion list.
  • Your findings, ordered fix list, approved changes and notes for running the site and exporting information.
  • You keep your accounts and paid work. Paid files arrive within 5 business days of completion or settled cancellation.
  • 30 days after written completion acceptance to correct faults caused by our work, without another paid allowance.
  • An already usable baseline avoids a second setup charge if you later choose monthly care.

Page / CMS / known workflow

One contained improvement to an agreed page, covered CMS area or supported workflow using approved facts and known components. Agree the affected area and completion test; one refinement and QA. New applications, business logic or unsupported integrations are separate.

Useful article

One useful article answering one agreed customer question, using approved facts, relevant research, editing, publication and one refinement with QA. No word quota; original field research is separate.

Eligible local profile batch

For an eligible authorized profile: one information check, one useful update and draft replies to up to five reviews for client approval. No invented reviews or guarantee of verification/rankings.

Promotional graphic

One graphic using the existing approved brand: one concept in up to three agreed sizes, editable export, one refinement and QA. No new logo, identity system, 3D or original illustration.

Newsletter campaign draft and setup

One campaign in an already approved account: one existing template, one approved audience and one purpose; subject, preheader, body, licensed assets, link/unsubscribe/mobile-preview checks and a test, plus one refinement and QA. No automation, list import or new template system. Sending requires the client’s explicit approval.

Improve includes one selected priority; Grow includes two sequential priorities. These are alternatives within those units. Keep Running does not include a priority.

Your website growth advisor: practical guidance on how visitors find you, understand the offer, inquire or book. Review messaging, journey friction and inquiry quality when actual data is available; prioritize recommendations and implement the agreed work. Preparation, discussion, analysis and follow-up share the plan’s finite scope. No profit, traffic, lead or ranking promise; no financial consultancy.

A related small-change batch

One related batch of supplied text, image or link updates in existing components, such as correcting hours and contact details together. It is not unrelated changes across the entire site.

Example: update supplied hours and contact details together, then check affected links and layout.

An agreed priority

Choose one defined priority from page/CMS/known-workflow improvement, useful article, eligible profile batch, promotional graphic or newsletter campaign draft/setup. Each is one alternative use of an included priority, with an agreed affected area, outcome, completion test, one refinement and QA. It is not an additional allowance or unlimited development. Email is never sent without the client’s explicit approval.

One work queue per site. Small-change batches and priorities are distinct included units; the same change does not fulfill two units. Audit findings use these allowances when accepted as the priority. Defects caused by our own work are corrected without using a paid allowance.

What we check
and how often.

Approved static websites, supported managed CMS sites and defined workflows after account, permissions, provider and compatibility review. Covered accounts/checks and operating responsibilities are written into the plan. Unknown legacy applications, arbitrary WordPress plugin stacks and complex systems require separate assessment.

The initial baseline records every dimension with evidence and access limits. Monthly checks cover the main contact path, available indexing/performance warnings, and routine CMS/forms/known-workflow health, including appropriate access checks. Quarterly review revisits all 22 statuses and changed evidence; it is not exhaustive specialist investigation. New application features or business-logic changes require separately agreed scope.

Research that informs the next decision

Improve includes a light monthly look for useful changes and a deeper review of one set of customer searches every three months. Grow replaces that research schedule with monthly customer-search and competitor research, followed by an action plan. Keep Running checks for search-access problems and includes one practical recommendation. We use the information available about how visitors use your site and get in touch.

Build-funded reviews, agreed changes, articles and eligible profile updates remain owed. A concurrent monthly plan covers distinct maintenance/additional work or explicitly credits overlapping delivery. No change, defect repair or usable baseline is sold twice. No automatic monthly enrollment.

Illustrative monthly example

One useful change.
A clear record of the work.

This is a planning example for Improve at $400/month, not a client project or a result claim. The priority is to make an existing service page explain which jobs the business accepts.

  1. Agree the input and finish. You provide the accepted job types, actual service area, exclusions and approved project facts. We choose one existing page and agree that a visitor should be able to assess fit and reach the correct inquiry form.
  2. Prepare one page change. We revise the service explanation, heading and relevant inquiry link within the agreed page scope. New services, extra pages or a new booking system need their own agreement.
  3. Review and refine. You send one combined feedback list. We make the included refinement and check the approved facts, links, phone layout and keyboard path.
  4. Record and choose what follows. You receive the page address, before/after summary, checks and any unresolved dependency. The next cycle starts with another useful agreed task.

What the example receipt would show

Task
Clarify the existing service page and its inquiry link.
Change
Approved jobs, actual coverage and exclusions placed beside the contact step.
Checks
Record pass, fail or unverified for facts, links, mobile layout and keyboard use, with the date checked. No check results are claimed for this fictional example.
Next decision
Review real customer questions and any available search evidence before choosing more work. Publication alone does not demonstrate more leads.

Care stays separate: routine covered checks and the related batch of supplied updates do not use this improvement priority. Grow at $800/month includes two priorities, completed sequentially; for example, this page first, then one agreed article. Keep Running includes no improvement priority.

Five business days before the next cycle, we confirm useful work and ready inputs. If none is agreed, the next monthly invoice is paused or the unused prepaid annual cycle is reconciled. Accepted work delayed by the studio remains owed. Read the full renewal and coverage terms.

Examples of the work record

A receipt you can inspect.

Care / illustrative receipt

Example only, not a completed Care cycle. A supported service business supplies revised opening hours.

Change
Update the agreed hours in the existing contact section as one related small-change batch; record the changed URL and approved wording.
Checks
Record uptime, certificate and form-check results separately, with date and any unresolved issue. A successful save alone is not proof of inbox delivery.
Boundary
A failed external integration is classified and routed; repair outside agreed coverage needs a written quote. No restoration deadline is promised.
Next decision
Continue only with staffed coverage and a supported site. The client may cancel before the exact renewal recorded in the agreement.

Search / owned change record

Studio website · October 15, 2026. An implemented content change, with no search-performance claim.

Before
Two packages led with broad aspirations; editing implications appeared later.
After
Three explicit scopes show best fit, exclusions and an example page map. The tier-specific editing and functional-tool decision precedes the offers.
Related fix
Link the package decision to the custom-versus-template guide and selected inquiry service.
Verification
Inspect the package comparison and editing guide. Browser task checks remain separate from content delivery.
Next decision
Review actual buyer questions and available URL-level evidence after an agreed observation period. This is an owned implementation example, not a paid client cycle or a measured search result.

An Audit & Fix Sprint finishes after its agreed fixes and receipt. Monthly improvement work follows the selected plan’s finite units, one queue and an approved cycle at a time. Five business days before the next cycle, agree useful work and ready inputs; otherwise pause the monthly invoice or reconcile the unused prepaid annual cycle. A charge without approved useful work carries the stated refund-or-credit remedy.

Coverage, renewal and exit.

Annual price, renewal and cancellation

Pay the full twelve-cycle price in advance. The monthly equivalent is a comparison, not a monthly charge. The same monthly units and sequence apply; annual billing does not accelerate twelve months of work into one. Annual availability is confirmed after a supported-site fit review and capacity check; requesting it does not book or charge you.

Before payment, the quote identifies exact service-cycle start/end dates, timezone and written cancellation route. Baseline setup is separate unless a usable build/Sprint baseline waives it. There is no annual discount on one-off work.

The annual term ends after twelve cycles. A reminder is sent 30 days before the end; another annual payment requires written confirmation. There is no automatic annual charge. The paid term price does not change retroactively. Without a new agreement, service ends at expiry and paid deliverables and client accounts remain yours.

Cancel effective at the end of the current service cycle. Refund each future whole unused cycle at the discounted monthly equivalent, based on completed cycles at the effective service end. Before service starts, refund the full annual service payment. No cancellation penalty, retained processing fee, discount clawback or repricing of completed cycles applies. Separately itemize any current-cycle unearned work caused by studio failure or a charge without approved useful work. Accepted work delayed by us remains owed; agree any substitute or refund explicitly.

Vendor bills are paid directly and are separate from annual studio service. No hosting subsidy is accrued or returned with this new-offer service payment. Vendor cancellation and refunds follow each vendor’s contract; no provider refund is promised by the studio.

Bundled launch follow-up stays funded by the build; annual service covers distinct maintenance/additional agreed work or explicitly credits overlapping delivery. The same change is not sold twice.

After four completed service cycles, eight future whole cycles are refundable at the discounted rate. Any current-cycle or delayed-work reconciliation is separate.

Initiate the agreed refund within ten business days of the effective service end, or cancellation confirmation before service starts, and provide an itemized settlement. Return undisputed unearned money within that deadline even if other work or amounts remain disputed. Bank or processor posting time is separate.

Canceling annual care does not remove accepted launch-review changes, included articles or eligible profile work, ownership or other remaining build rights. Historical accepted hosting benefits also remain governed by their original agreement.

After four completed cycles, eight future cycles refund $1,140.00 / $3,040.00 / $6,080.00 for Keep Running / Improve / Grow, before separate current-cycle or delayed-work reconciliation.

Automated monitoring is not continuous human staffing. Review, contact and work windows are agreed before enrollment around actual availability. There is no 24/7 service or guaranteed restoration deadline; urgent issues are classified, communicated and routed within the agreed coverage.

Renewal and refund-or-credit terms

Monthly billing is in advance with no minimum term: the quote states the exact renewal timestamp/timezone and cancellation route; cancel before renewal to stop future invoices. Annual prepayment instead ends after twelve cycles and renews only after written confirmation. Five business days before each cycle, confirm useful work and ready inputs for paid improvement units; if none is agreed, pause the next monthly invoice or reconcile the unused prepaid annual cycle. Charges without approved useful work receive an unused-work refund or credit, with begun work itemized and unearned amounts reconciled.

Unused capacity does not roll over. Accepted work delayed by Wonder & Method remains owed; it does not expire with the month. Missing client inputs receive notice and a revised available slot.

Accounts, hosting and handoff when you leave

Paid bespoke source/content and client-owned accounts remain yours, subject to disclosed provider license/export limits. Direct vendor subscriptions continue or cancel according to your instructions. Unfinished accepted work remains owed. Historical accepted benefits remain governed by the original agreement. Routine paid-file handoff is included; new migration work is quoted separately. An unrelated service invoice cannot justify disabling paid client work.

Existing paid source, approved content/media, license and account map, build/deploy notes and known unfinished items are provided within five business days of the relevant paid completion or reconciled termination. This is separate from the 30-day defect-correction window. Client-controlled accounts remain accessible throughout.
